I have 3 degrees, but I didn't find out how to make 5 figures per MONTH until I learned the secret of the rich, residual income. Even with a Master's, I was only able to make money as long as I was up trading my time for dollars. Once I learned about residual income and how to leverage off of the work of others, that was when I was able to get ahead of my debt. If you're looking to start a business, the next trillion dollar industry is the health/wellness industry. So you would want to get with a firmly established, debt free company that is doing business in over 70 countries, has over 40 physical offices, 7 cafes, ranked the 4th fastest growing company of any kind in its first 6 years, and has an unduplicatble product being called the next coca-cola, allow them to take the financial risks and you get the rewards by payouts of 53 cents on every dollar. That's what I did and the income with no experience has surpassed my professional income with a master's. Good luck to you. While you're researching, you can listen to a toll free, pre-recorded msg about our company at 800-242-0363, pin 4055, our company at www.TNI.com/1934177, or our cafes at www.TNCafe.com.

Wow, what a smart and industrious kid! You should be proud of yourself. I think you have a problem though. In most states, if not all, a contract is binding if there is a "meeting of the minds", and the parties are "adults", etc. Seeing you are a minor, I can't believe a lending institution would give you a loan, as you'd have to sign a contract. To say nothing about your suppliers who want a guarantee of payment, customers who should sign an injury etc. waiver, insurance on assets and customers, and a banking institution, etc. Who's land are you going to conduct this business on? Anyone would be a fool to sign a non-binding contract.

You deciding to be a LLC shows that you are smarter than average, but do you know what it REALLY means? If I was you, I'd keep working on your business plan... and STUDY! Look up "LLC" on an IRS web sight. Who's going to do your books? Were you planning on paying taxes? Did you know that you would be responsible for a minimum of 15.3% of your profit in Social Security and Medicare taxes. That's not counting Federal and State taxes. Will you have employees? Do you have a state and Federal I.D. number? Do you charge sales tax on your paint balls, etc. I'm not trying to discourage you in any way. You sound GREAT.

I think you show more business acumen than most adults that I have worked with for years, but I'm not sure you are quite ready. Where do your parents stand on this, and what's their level of involvement?

In addition to picturing yourself as the business owner, picture yourself as the customer. What would you expect to receive in such an establishment? Is $22K enough give me a good experience? How do you handle depreciation? ARE YOU SURE you have thought EVERYTHING through?

Again, I'm quite impressed, and wish I could see your business plan. But... I imagine you've left out a few vital details.

Should you follow through with this, and I lived in Idaho, I would certainly put on my Cammie's and play! What ever the case, I see great things in your future. Don't give up. Study, study study!!! Best of luck to you, E.

By the way, I have NEVER met ANYONE that ever stuck to a "budget", regardless of how well written. They just aren't realistic when they get down to the brass tacks.

My friends, several of them infact, attended University of Phoenix Online for their MBA's. The math related courses they took were really just a lot of stats and finance courses. I recall them having to go through those preliminary math courses, such as calc in the undergrad programs.

Check out the UPX site, their program specs should be listed.

Good luck.

You have an additional problem. A future employer is going to assume that with a business/finance degree that you have had and passed calculus. Plus you will need to be able to do this higher math in your later work.
It would be better to hire a good calculus tutor to help you over come what ever problem you are having. It's more important to spend the money and learn the material now, than to have problems at work and potentially lose a job over it later.

I say you should work as much as you can, pay off things little by little. I wouldn't try to get another loan unless you desperately have to. If your booked solid all summer long than you should have no trouble bringing money in to pay stuff off. Also let someone help you to organize all your bills, make a timeline so you know what you will be paying each week. It really does help if you just stick with it.
